Do you ever have those moments where you just stop and think, wow, did I really do that? This post is about one of those moments. I’m almost slightly embarrassed to show you the BEFORE picture, but since I decided in my previous post to share my old idea for this animal heads, I guess I might as well crawl out of my hole. My very first post was DIY Spray Painted Animal Heads. Looking back, I really don’t know what I was thinking, but that was me and people change.
This picture was taken with my cell phone, so it’s not the greatest photo! I just don’t even know where to begin, but begin I must. I was overwhelmed and excited to make our first place ‘us’. Growing up I had bright colors in my room, orange and yellow walls, purple curtains… you get the picture. I didn’t realize that I was over that phase for quite awhile until I spray painted these animal heads a daring green and blue. I thought I wanted our living room bright and fun, then in time, we started picking out things that were less colorful and more neutral. I loved the look of it, it was so simple and clean and I knew that’s how I wanted our decor to be.
It took me quite some time to change the animal heads, I went out and bought Ivory spray paint and gave them a much needed makeover, the results were so much better.
I have another plan for these guys but we are in the process of moving out of our rental due to my husband about to deploy, so I won’t get around to doing what I want to with them for awhile. Who knows, maybe by then I’ll have a whole new plan for these guys!
What do you think of the new and improved animal heads? What ideas would you do with them? Do you have animal heads in your home? I would love to know! As always, thanks for stopping by!
