Garden Orb-a-Sphere
In order to spruce up my garden am add some interest, I have decided to make some gazing balls on the cheap. I went to my local thrift store and found some light fixture globes (25 cents each) and two bowling balls ($1 each). Here is what I came up with…
I washed the balls and globes with dish soap to get off the grime.
For the lizard ball, I used hot glue to affix plastic dollar store lizards and frogs to the bowling ball. I then spray painted the ball with a metallic indoor/outdoor paint. I coated it with a top coat of spray polyurethane.
The smooth metallic ball is just spray painted with a metallic spray paint, and topped with a spray polyurethane.
Lastly, for the marble covered bowling ball, I hot glued flat marbles to the ball. You could do anything… Buttons, plastic toys, tiles. Mirrors, etc..
This was a really fun and EASY craft project to do! I think the bowling balls would make a really fun gift
Happy crafting!
