I am sharing a quick post on the fun little craft my kids and I did together this weekend.
The original idea came from my mom who made Gel Air Freshener with my daughter one after noon. I have shared some of the old article I wrote when she first came home with the air freshener at the bottom of the page.
This time I thought it would be fun to get creative with the jars. We used spray craft glue in the jars, then poured some glitter in and rolled the jar around. And then filed them with the jell air freshener. This has so many possibilities and is so fun for the kids.
All you need is:
2 Envelopes unflavored Gelatin
1tsp or more of some perfume or other fragrance
1/2 cup hot water
1/2 cup ice cold water
A small jar like a jelly or baby food jar
Mix the gelatin and hot water in a bowl until the gelatin in dissolved. Stir in Fragrance and food coloring, then the ice water. let set in a cool place. ( do not put it in the fridge)
This smelled so good. You could cover it with some pretty fabric and tie it with a ribbon and it would be a nice gift your kids could make for the family at Christmas.
Note: (this is not a candle, don’t cover it with an airtight lid and let it sit for days because it will mold, if you leave it out and open to the air then it will put off the nice smell and eventually dry out.)
