I’ve been posting a lot of Christmas crafts lately so I thought I’d throw in a “everyday” post. We have tons of glass jars and I like to use them for different projects, you can see here and here. It’s always a pain trying to get off the pesky labels, some just don’t want to come off! I’ve found a really easy way to get them off and that works well for me. Hopefully it’ll work just as well for you!
If you’re like me and impatient then this is perfect for you, it took me about ten minutes to get the labels off. I filled the sink with hot water and added Gain dishwashing liquid, I’m sure any dishwashing liquid would work just as well. I’ve tried it with only water and it didn’t come off as quickly as this method.
I laid the jars facing down so the labels would be soaking for a couple of minutes in the soapy water.
After that I scraped off the label with my nail, it comes off so quickly and easily!
I had small parts of the label still on the jar and knew it wouldn’t be hard to take off.
I used a cotton ball and Goof Off and it came off just like that, I love this stuff!
Now my jars are label free! The best part about this method is that it doesn’t take much time and you’re left with label free jars. What methods work best for you on getting your labels off? I would love to know!
